The Lord’s Day ~ June 8, 2008
The Preparation for Worship
When the prelude begins let the congregation be in meditation and prayer in order to prepare our hearts for the worship of God. “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1)

The Adoration of God
Call to Worship: Psalm 32:1-2,5 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.
*Psalm of Praise - Psalm 32
Speaker: Our help is in the name of the LORD,

The Confession of Sin
The Ten Commandments
Minister: God spoke all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God,
which hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
All: Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor thy father and thy mother.
Thou shalt not murder.
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Thou shalt not covet.
Minister: Hear also the words of our Lord Jesus, how He saith:
All: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love
thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all
the law and the prophets.
The Prayer of Confession (a moment of silent confession)
All: Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. In Jesus name. Amen.
