Call to Worship: Psalm 89:6-8 “For who in the heavens can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around Him. O LORD God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.”
*Psalm of Praise - Psalm 87

The Confession of Sin
The Call to Repentance - Hebrews 3:14-19
For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
The Prayer of Confession (after silent confession)
All: Heavenly Father, because of our sins, we are in great distress. We have been stubborn and have not heeded Your commandments, but instead sinned against Your judgments. We have refused to obey, and we have not been mindful of Your wonders. We have been disobedient and have rebelled against You. We have cast Your law behind our backs. We have acted proudly. You are just in all that befalls us, for You have dealt faithfully, but we have done wickedly. Nevertheless, in Your great mercy, You have not utterly consumed us nor forsaken us, for You are God, ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in kindness. When we return to You and cry out to You, hear us from heaven. Deliver us according to Your mercies. Make us Your servants today. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. (Nehemiah 9)
