Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent; a fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.”

The Confession of Sin

The Call to Repentance - 2 Timothy 2:8-10

Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
The Prayer of Confession (after silent confession)

All: Heavenly Father, we are reminded of Your great majesty in Your word. You are enthroned over all the earth, You are worshiped by the angels, and You are holy. Yet we have sinned against You. Woe are we, O Lord. We have not been holy as You are holy. Instead of praising You and speaking the truth about You, our lips have uttered unclean things. We are indeed a people of unclean lips. Because of our sins, we will die. Forgive us, O Lord, according to Your great compassion. Cleanse us of our sins, for Your namesake. We ask in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen. (Isaiah 6)

The Assurance of Pardon - Hebrews 10:22 “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”
